"Going Over Town" | Going over town to see Jeff," was Gordy Tweit's favorite thing to say. Gordy started as the delivery boy at the Fairhaven Pharmacy and became the owner in 1961. When he sold the pharmacy in 1991, he still kept his "Museum" in the basement of the Pharmacy. An avid history collector and photographer, Gordy enjoyed donating photos to the Whatcom Museum Photo Archives and getting together with Photo Historian, Jeff Jewell to review old photos the Museum might want for their collection. This page is dedicated to Gordy. He is missed by so many of us. If you want to know more, just type in Gordy Tweit into our new SEARCH bar!
| "OVER TOWN" was the phrase South Siders used to talk about Downtown Bellingham. While we are not going to try and include the history of over town on our little Fairhaven site, there are some important places you should know, and enjoy. It's just a few miles away along the beautiful bay.....over town! - Whatcom Museum Photo Archives
