The Kulshan Club Interior: 1909
The clubhouse is a good example of Arts & Crafts bungalow style, very popular at the time. Its hilly site allowed for a floor below the entrance level; it extended an entire block in width that provided space for billiards, pool and bowling alley as well as dining and meeting rooms. Arts and Crafts wallpapers and friezes decorated the interior walls and a wide, curved staircase connected the upper and lower floors.

A 1909 Headline reads:
"Photo of the Magnificent Bowling Alleys
of Kulshan Club of South Bellingham"
"Bowling is now booming at the popular
Kulshan Club....and a tournament is in
progress for several handsome trophies
that have been offered by club members
as prizes...The Alleys are the best that money
can buy and there has been a continual
crash of pins on the alleys since the new
clubhouse was formally opened several
months ago."
