Bust of
C.X. Larrabee

This bronze bust was created by sculptor Robert McDermott, who created our Dirty Dan statue on the Village Green.  If Dirty Dan started Fairhaven, then Larrabee helped build it.   Brian Griffin, who gave us the Fairhaven Village Green was behind this. Dedication was held October 2008, with several of Larrabee’s descendants attending the ceremony.

The bust is located on 11th Street between Harris and Mill Avenues, next to Rustic Coffee.

Statue of
J. J. Donovan

J.J. Donovan loved Bellingham. He was a civil engineer, lumberman, railroad superintendent, progressive business man and community leader. He made his mark on Bellingham. To celebrate his legacy, the Fairhaven Village Green Committee commissioned local sculptor Bob McDermott to create a permanent tribute to J.J. Donovan. The piece depicts J.J. writing a letter to his bride, Clara.
 Mark Twain

Mark Twain stayed in Fairhaven on August 14, 1895.  He was booked into the Fairhaven Hotel, but finding no alcohol was allowed, spent much of the evening across the street at the Cascade Club, now the Cat N Fiddle Hair Salon.
The bench, located in Front of Village Books, was designed by sculptor, Gary Lee Price of Arizona.
